Preview Publication
A high-performance academic e-commerce ecosystem, digital book publisher, and interactive question bank for university admission candidates.

About The Project
Preview Publication is a mission-critical, full-stack digital publishing and academic e-commerce platform built for university admission candidates across Bangladesh. The platform combines a lightning-fast customer storefront with an interactive question bank, sample PDF book previews, district-based delivery routing, automated MFS checkout (bKash, Nagad, Rocket), and an enterprise-grade back-office management suite.
The customer-facing application is powered by **Next.js 16 (App Router)** and **React 19**, delivering an ultra-fast shopping experience optimized for bilingual typography (Bangla & English). Students can explore categorized catalogs (Arts, Science, Business), preview sample PDF chapters directly within the browser, solve academic questions with formatted **KaTeX** equations, submit book reviews, and complete orders with dynamic shipping calculation and transaction verification.
The back-office administrative platform is constructed with **Vite 7** and **React 19**, featuring a high-density **TanStack Table** management console, **Tiptap WYSIWYG rich text editor**, interactive PDF verification, revenue and order lifecycle tracking, customer review moderation, and granular inventory controls.
Engineered with a decoupled three-tier architecture, the backend runs on **Express 5** and **TypeScript** with **MongoDB/Mongoose**, integrating automated Cloudinary image pipelines, **Zod** schema validations, and dynamic SEO sitemaps with structured JSON-LD schemas (Book, Organization, BreadcrumbList) for maximum search visibility.
The Challenge
Academic book publishing requires handling heavy traffic during admission seasons, rendering complex bilingual typography alongside mathematical/scientific formulas (KaTeX), providing instant in-browser sample book previews without page slowdowns, and managing manual Mobile Financial Service (MFS) payment verification with district-dependent logistics across all 64 districts of Bangladesh.
The Solution
Engineered a resilient three-tier monorepo architecture separating the Next.js 16 SSR/ISR customer storefront, the Vite + React 19 administrative portal, and a high-throughput Express 5 REST API. Implemented custom slide-out cart drawers with Redux Toolkit, automated delivery fee computation by district, Tiptap-powered rich text composition with scientific formula support, Cloudinary on-the-fly image optimization, and rich Schema.org metadata.
Core Features & System Modules
Every feature was purposefully architected for speed, reliability, and ease of operation.

Integrated Sample PDF Reader
Embedded in-browser PDF preview enabling candidates to sample book chapters and indices before purchasing.
District-Aware MFS Checkout
Smooth checkout experience with dynamic shipping fees computed by district, multi-channel MFS payments (bKash, Nagad, Rocket), and instant TrxID capture.
KaTeX Math & Question Bank Engine
Interactive question banks and explanatory articles rendered with high-precision KaTeX mathematical formulas and scientific symbols.

Tiptap WYSIWYG Content Studio
Full-featured rich text authoring environment in the admin suite with code blocks, tables, inline images, typography styling, and KaTeX notation.
Enterprise Order & Inventory Suite
TanStack Table powered admin console for tracking order statuses (Pending, Completed, Cancelled), processing customer details, and managing stock.
Bilingual SEO & Schema.org Rich Snippets
Comprehensive Google indexing with dynamic XML sitemaps, OpenGraph cards, and JSON-LD structured schemas (`Book`, `Organization`, `BreadcrumbList`).
Architecture & Technical Highlights
Three-Tier Monorepo Separation
Maintained clean separation between the SSR customer storefront (`Next.js 16`), high-performance admin portal (`Vite 7 + React 19`), and unified REST backend (`Express 5 + TypeScript`), ensuring decoupled deployments and modular scalability.
Optimized Cloud Media Upload Pipeline
Implemented in-memory buffer streaming using Multer and Streamifier with direct Cloudinary uploads, eliminating server-side temp disk writes and ensuring fast asset delivery.
End-to-End Type Safety & Zod Validation
Coupled strict TypeScript interfaces with runtime Zod schema parsing on all order transactions, book creations, and post mutations to guarantee zero corrupt data entries.
High-Density Data Management Console
Architected administrative tables utilizing TanStack Table v8 with client-side sorting, pagination, and regex search filters for rapid handling of large inventories and order volumes.
